How it works

  1. Drop in your imagesPhotos, screenshots or graphics — any number at once.
  2. Pick how smallUse the quality slider, or set a maximum file size and the best quality that fits is found for you.
  3. Compare and downloadClick a thumbnail to compare before and after, then download one by one or as a ZIP.

How it makes files smaller

JPG and WebPThe quality setting decides how much detail is kept. 70–80 usually looks identical and saves a lot.
Smart PNGReduces a PNG to its best 256 colours (like TinyPNG). Ideal for screenshots, logos and graphics; for photos, JPG or WebP is smaller.
Exact sizeSet a limit such as 200 KB for a form or website, and the quality — and if needed the size — is adjusted to fit.
Resize tooA 4000-pixel photo shown at 1200 pixels wastes most of its bytes. Resizing is often the biggest saving.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded?

No. Every image is processed inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere — and location and camera data are stripped from the files you download.

How do I compress an image to 200 KB (or 100 KB)?

Choose “200 KB” under Max file size and drop the image in. The highest quality that fits is used; if it still doesn’t fit, the image is scaled down a little too.

How much smaller will my images get?

Phone photos often shrink by 60–80% at quality 75. PNG screenshots typically shrink by 50–70% with smart PNG compression.

Is compression lossless?

Smart PNG and JPG/WebP compression are lossy, but tuned to be hard to see. Use the compare view to check — or set quality to 100 for maximum fidelity.

Why did a file get bigger?

It was already well compressed. Lower the quality, or try WebP, which is smaller at the same quality.

Is it free?

Yes — free, no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of images. The site is supported by the ads on the page.
